Welcome!Thank you for visiting gordonmcbride.com, the home on the web for author Gordon McBride. Gordon's new novel is Ghost of Midsummer Common (2008), set in and around Cambridge, England. It treats issues of midlife spirituality through both scholarly sleuth work and mystical/paranormal experience. The love story cuts to the heart of obsession and self-delusion into the formation of mature relationship. His first novel, Flying to Tombstone (2003), addresses issues of grief, transformation, ethical life, and mystical spirituality through the characters who live in and around Arizona's famous "Town Too Tough to Die." While you're here you can read excerpts of both novels, see a sample of the forthcoming sequel to Flying (The Vicar of Bisbee), and Gordon's thoughts about writing as meditation. There is also a guide for using Flying to Tombstone as a religious education tool. Contact Gordon: mcbride1@dakotacom.net |
